Receptionist and Office Management Assistant responsibilities will include operating the telephone switchboard, meeting, and greeting visitors to the press.
Organising incoming and outgoing deliveries, couriers, and post, performing all other defined reception duties, and providing support to the Office Manager.

Job Title: Receptionist & Office Management Assistant
Reporting to: Office Manager
Contract: Part time and permanent contract for 25 hours per week, 9:30am– 3pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £18,572 per annum
Location: Office-based, London WC1
The Receptionist role is to act as the professional, public interface, managing incoming & outgoing deliveries & post, and providing assistance to the Office Manager.
Will be based in offices on WC1, with convenient access to the Northern and Central lines as well as many bus routes.
The ideal Receptionist & Office Management Assistant will have the following essential & desirable skills:
- excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and attention to detail
- professional customer service orientation
- good teamwork and communication skills
- positive attitude, resilience, and assertiveness
- initiative and reliability
- familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- an interest in books and publishing
- administrative/reception experience is advantageous but not essential
- high general standard of education
- basic computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
